Summary

Recently published CIGRE TB 909 has proposed the guidelines for subsynchronous oscillation studies in power electronics dominated power systems.

This webinar will present a summary of the TB highlighting:

  • detailed classification of subsynchronous oscillations (SSO)
  • Industry practices for SSO evaluation
  • Proposed SSO study procedure including screening studies, detailed studies, mitigation measures, and monitoring and protective measures.

At each stage of studies, the modelling requirements, the assumptions/limitations and the evaluation criteria will be discussed.
