Summary
It has been a long time tradition, that within the broad and successful cooperation between IEC and CIGRE, IEC may request CIGRE to prepare the technical basis for certain IEC standards, as the ones presented in this paper. This task is facilitated, because often the experts involved are common members in the relevant CIGRE and IEC Working Groups.
