Summary
The present work based on a questionnaire was aimed at establishing whether present standards meet the needs for motor procurement. Contributors were asked for suggestions to remedy the more critical areas and topics, in order to encourage competent bodies to revise and/or complete standards. This investigation showed that there are areas for international standards bodies to consider improving in present standards.
