Summary
The Guide presents the operation of generators connected to the power grid and participating to voltage control of the grid by means of generation or absorption of reactive power. The operating range in PQ coordinates and the electromagnetic phenomena during the operation in under and over excited regimes are described. The experience of different manufacturers and utilities referring to the operation in under and over excited regimes is described in the Guide.
