Summary

The risk of a transformer causing a fire is low but not negligible and the consequences can be very severe. WG A2.33 was formed to study the key aspects and current practices of transformer fire safety and to repare a technical brochure which could be used as a guide to help both transformer designers and users to define and apply best practices of transformer fire safety.
