Summary

Many utilities and manufactures worldwide have been confronted with generator overfluxing and have experienced serious damage to the generator stator core and stator winding insulation. This guide identifies typical causes of overfluxing and presents well established methods of reducing the risk of an overfluxing event. Recommendations are also made for inspection and test activities if an event is suspected.
