Summary

Market price caps are a feature of most markets but their purpose, operation and impacts differ depending on the nature of the market, the role of prices in that market and how many markets exist. Working Group (WG) C5.23 was established to examine these issues at the conclusion of WG C5.15, which examined market risk management. This Technical Brochure examines the results of a survey on market price caps and also examines specific markets in case studies.
