Summary
The Technical Brochure entitled “Experience with and Application Guide for Composite Line Insulators” is a summary of important aspects and current knowledge in the field of composite insulators. The content is mainly focusing on line insulators subjected to tensile loads in suspension and tension insulator sets. However, some technical conclusions can also be applied to composite post and apparatus insulators. Due to the broad international membership of the working group, the content reflects the practical experience from many different in-situ conditions world-wide.
