Summary

A study was undertaken of the wildfire risk management practices of distribution and transmission utilities, in countries which experience significant wildfire activity. Utilities were surveyed and the findings from the survey were collated into the emergency management Prevent-Prepare-Respond-Recover framework.
These findings from the study provide an opportunity for utilities already managing significant wildfire risk, to enhance their current practices, or for utilities for whom this risk is emerging, a starting point for preparing comprehensive wildfire risk management plans.
