Summary

The issue of how new high voltage overhead lines are routed in relation to both existing buildings and protected rural areas are of increasing concern to electricity companies and communities. A similar issue is how new buildings are planned or sited in relation to existing overhead lines.

This TB reports on how these issues are addressed in various countries and reaches conclusions.
