Summary
SF6 tightness of electric power equipment is essential for the functionality of the equipment itself and for the protection of the environment. The guide reviews all significant aspects of measuring and ensuring the tightness of electric power equipment containing SF6. A functional description concerning state-of-theart test procedures, test methods and instrument devices is performed. Type-testing, factory routine testing and on-site testing during service are described; continuous on-line monitoring is also included. Recommen dations are given to users and OEM's how to work towards maintaining a high level of SF6 tightness.
