Summary
The result of a dialogue between utilities and manufacturers concerning the application of the unified power flow controller (UPFC). its purpose is to provide comprehensive information on the physical nature of such devices, the functions they can provide, the value of these functions for utilities, the way to implement them in the network, the problems to anticipate and the obstacles that may exist regarding cost-effective implementation.
