Summary
To perform real-time control it is necessary to handle information. Progress in technology allowed a tremendous increase in the use of microprocessors in industrial equipment, hence information began to appear organized in databases structures and the software and control centres became more elaborated, increasing the number of applications with specific requirements in terms of information performance.
