Summary
The increasing complexity and interconnection of power networks has resulted in the continuing development and application of power line carrier in many countries. There is a need to supplement and bring up to date existing information on PLC and to incorporate information on the current state of the art, together with a sufficient theoretical treatment of the subject so as to assist in the better understanding of the basic aspects of PLC communication.
