Summary
This report is written based on work performed in CIGRE working group WG C4.603 “Analytical Techniques and Tools for Power Balancing Assessments”. The aim of this working group has been to perform a critical assessment of existing modelling methods and tools for analysing power balancing issues in order to provide recommendations for future developments. The overall scope of work is related to frequency control and inertia, management of reserves and balancing markets.
