Summary

This report is the result of a collaborative work to identify regulation and market design barriers preventing to fully capture the value from “new” energy storage technologies, which are faster and have higher-location-freedom than conventional power generation assets. A theoretical analysis of potential value streams and barriers is presented together with a practical inventory for 14 countries. Overall, the report outlines four main recommendations.
