Summary
The need for maximizing the use of electrical infrastructures is forcing the operators to run the overhead lines close to their thermal limits. The Technical Brochure presented here provides the tools for calculating the thermal rating of overhead lines, including those lines operated at high current densities and temperatures, and including dynamic rating calculation methods to take into account the continuously changing weather conditions.
