Summary
Active distribution networks is a recently developed concept that considers the move toward the management of active distribution systems, where the DSO integrates distributed generation, demand response and energy storage into the operation of the system. The TB defines this technology, its functionalities and the state-of-the-art and concludes with recommendations for actions to promote further development of the concept and its applications.
