Summary

A limited but essential set of lightning parameters needed for engineering applications can be derived from lightning location systems (LLS). Applied sensor and location network configuration can significantly affect system detection efficiency and consequently the resulting peak current distribution. Ground truth references are used to confirm some model - based performance values of LLS.
