Summary

This TB presents an overview of the literature on localized High Intensity Winds and their effects on OHL, in order to provide a basic understanding of these phenomena from design perspective. Simplified load cases are proposed, recognizing that improvements will follow current and future research efforts, simulations, observations and field data collection.
