Summary
The scope of the Symposium is :
- to define the role of the system operator in relation to the operation and planning in generation, transmission and distribution in function of industry structural changes
- to discuss the impact from and on the generation units including IPP, embedded generation etc...
- to define the role of system planners in the same context
- to discuss the impact on analysis of power systems and to define the need for new tools to analyse power systems faced with new organisational changes
- to discuss methods to organize open trading, ancillary services and transmission pricing
