Summary

In this research, a new model for discribing water diffusion performance into high temperature valunized (HTV) silicone rubber by capacitance method was proposed, in which the anomalous diffusion mechanism and the water concentration profile were taken into consideration. The Langmuir diffusion model and the Lichtenecker-Rother dielectric mixture equation were the theoretical foundation of this novel capacitance model, the Taylor expansion was the key step and was employed to derive the model. Moreover, this model has been applied to water diffusion in silicone rubber with different ATH filler content and the diffusion parameters obtained by this new model have been compared with the parameters determined using the traditional model.
