Summary

This report is based on two questionnaires, one addressed to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and the other to Users. The aim of the survey was to prospect the state of the art in rotating machinery construction and the willingness of Users to modify their requirements for new and refurbished machines and the normal operation conditions, without a reduction of life extension of the insulation in particular and of the complete machine in general. The report also describes the problems that could appear with this increasing of the operation temperature.
