Summary

The TB provides an overview of existing approaches to Power Quality monitoring supported by the results of the survey of international industry practice. Critical overview of existing approaches is followed by defining six major objectives of power quality (PQ) monitoring identified (not in order of importance) as Compliance Verification, Performance Analysis/Benchmarking, Site Characterisation, Troubleshooting, Advanced applications and studies and Active PQ management. The TB also provides a set of recommendations and guidelines for efficient and cost effective Power Quality monitoring in existing and future electric power systems.
