Summary

High Impedance Faults (HIFs) have been a challenge for pro-tection engineers for a long time. The TB presents the current experiences, worldwide, and the methods used or pro-posed for detecting HIFs. It assesses their state of progressand their degree of implementation, in order to guide the users in the optimization of the protection schemes.
